How do I register my new Weather Direct components?
A: Follow the directions on screen from the Register menu or use our illustrated Registration Guide.

My gateway fails to register. What do I do?
A: Login to your Weather Direct account. If a previous registration exists, it must be deleted to retry. Use the Delete Gateway button on the screen. Factory Reset the Gateway: holding the gray button, remove the power cord for 10 seconds, then re-insert it. Let go after the cycle - red light on, red light off, red light on. Further assistance is in the Gateway Help section.

Tip: During registration, you may press the gateway button more than once in 15-30 second intervals as the progress bar advances. Try different times of the day or different days as both server and internet traffic vary in traffic intensity.

My TX60 has lost contact. How do I resolve this?
A: Login to your account and check Last Seen values for both the gateway and the TX60. Power cycle the gateway: Unplug the power for 10 seconds and plug back in (don't touch the gray button). If the Last Seen improves for the Gateway and stays solid red, remove the batteries from the TX60. Press the button 20X to drain residual power and insert or replace batteries. What do the blinking lights mean on the gateway?
A: The Red LED on the Gateway will blink in groups of one, two, three or four blinks to indicate the internet connection status of the gateway: The Green LED on the Gateway only comes on for an active data transmission

Solid Red: When the Gateway registers successfully, the Red LED is lit solid. The red light on solid is the normal operation status of the gateway.

Both Blink:if the lights are blinking together, the Gateway has lost registration data but it is still registered on the website. Delete the Display and Gateway from the website, then do a Factory Reset on each component (see above) before re-registration.

One Blink: the Gateway is not connected to your home network, the network cable is damaged, or the router port may not work, or the router isn’t functioning (e.g. reboot router, modem, and PC to confirm). Please check the network cable connection between the Gateway and the Router (any standard Cat5 network cable will work).

Two Blinks: the Gateway is connected to your network, but cannot acquire an IP address. Please check your Router’s settings to make sure that DHCP is enabled and that free IP addresses are available. Can you access the Internet? If the skills are available, review our Advanced Router Configuration guide.

Three Blinks (not common): the Gateway has an IP address, but cannot resolve the our Server name (box.weatherdirect.com) in the internet’s DNS Server system. Factory reset the Gateway (see above). If you still have three blinks, see Appendix F to resolve DNS servier issues in our Registration Guide.

Four Blinks: Good if this happens in the first 30 seconds after plugging in the Gateway. It has successfully contacted the Weather Directâ„¢ servers, and is ready for registration. If it takes longer than 30 seconds to reach 4 lights, the gateway has defaulted to its own IP address and will not register. Factory reset the Gateway (see above) and retry registration.
