Troubleshooting:
Device shows registered on the website but failed on the display:
- Select your Time Zone and location on the website and Save.
- Remove the batteries from your Display and reinstall them. (If your Display has Talking Forecasts, press and hold the "SNOOZE" key for 15 seconds until the Display beeps and goes into "UPDATE" mode. Allow 15 minutes for the update to complete).
- The Display should say "Updating" in the scroll area. If not:
- For Displays without Talking Forecasts, Press and Hold the "+" key until the Display beeps.
- For Displays with Talking Forecasts, Press and Hold the "SNOOZE" key until the Display beeps.
- Once the forecast icons show on your display, install batteries into your outdoor temperature sensor. Make sure to insert the batteries with the "+" and "-" ends aligned with the diagram in the battery compartment. The Sensor will not work if the batteries are inserted in the wrong direction. Do not press any buttons on the Display for 15 minutes.
- Watch the scroll line for the outdoor temperature to appear.
- For most Weather Direct® models, press the "SNOOZE" key for an instant outdoor temperature reading.
- For the WD-2511, WD-2512, WD-2513 models press the "+" key for an instant outdoor temperature reading.
- After waiting 15 minutes to allow strong connection to form, you can now place the sensor outside.
